PixelStorm Are Finalists in the Australian Web Awards

We’re proud to share that our recent website redesign and rebuild for Community Work Australia has been recognised on a national stage, earning finalist nominations in three categories at the 2026 Australian Web Awards.

A Digital Platform Built for Purpose

Community Work Australia plays a vital role in supporting and connecting professionals across the community services sector. The goal of this project was to deliver a modern, accessible, and scalable website that improves usability for its diverse audience — aspiring and practising community work professionals, educators, researchers, people availing community work services, migrants, and more.

Our web design agency approached the redesign with a clear focus on:

  • Simplifying navigation and content structure
  • Enhancing accessibility
  • Creating a seamless user experience across all devices
  • Delivering a flexible CMS to support future growth

Built on Drupal, the new platform provides a robust and secure foundation while delivering a high-performing experience to users.

Recognised Across Three Categories

The project has been shortlisted in three highly competitive categories:

Community & Culture

Recognising platforms that support local communities, promote cultural awareness, and foster meaningful connections.

For Purpose

Celebrating organisations and initiatives that contribute to the greater good and create positive societal impact.

Drupal

Highlighting excellence in websites built on the Drupal platform, with a focus on technical execution, scalability, and performance.

Being named a finalist across these categories reflects the project’s balance of strategy, design, and technical delivery.

Why the Australian Web Awards Matter

The Australian Web Awards showcase the very best in digital across the country, recognising excellence in design, development, user experience, content, accessibility, and SEO. More than just an awards program, they set a national standard for what best practice looks like across web design and development.

Each year, every entry is reviewed by industry experts against rigorous criteria. For PixelStorm, being named a finalist demonstrates our ability to solve complex user problems through thoughtful digital and web solutions. Being recognised at this level places our project among the best in the country and reinforces the value of strategic, user-centred design in long-term success online.

Looking Ahead

We’re honoured to see this work recognised and proud to support organisations that make a real difference. This project is a testament to the power of collaboration. Working closely with Community Work Australia, our team was able to deeply understand their users, challenges, and long-term goals to design a website that balances creativity with functionality.

Congratulations to all finalists, and we look forward to celebrating the best of Australia’s digital industry at this year’s awards in Adelaide.
