FastBreak Trading Cards is a specialist trading card retailer with both an eCommerce store and a physical shop in Cheltenham, Victoria, and sells a broad range of sports cards, entertainment and TCG products, memorabilia, grading services, preorders, and gift cards.

FastBreak has strong products and a real local retail presence, but it needed to become easier to find online. Wanting to improve visibility for key product categories, attract more non-branded traffic, grow online revenue, and drive more local store discovery.

Our Approach

Prioritise the product categories most likely to lead to sales

Instead of trying to improve everything at once, the campaign concentrated on the product categories most likely to drive results early.

Increase keyword visibility for product collections

By optimising pages based on Google Search Console data, we have been able to target keywords with strong traffic and low competition to find the low hanging fruit.

Increase foot traffic through Google My Business

We have also been able to create a local SEO campaign, focused on Google My Business, to target local customers to drive in-store visits. This has resulted in a significant increase in clicks from GMB listings.

Focus on topical authority for each category

Through focusing on the key topical clusters for Fastbreak, supported by their internal social efforts, we can increase the topical authority, now competitively sitting in SERPs against major retailers like Rebel Sport and Amazon.
